In Good Company

I found modeling the head in clay, very therapeutic. With the help of my friend Terry McDonald who is a sculptor, I was able to learn the basics of modeling. If I had the room in my home I would be creating more portrait busts. 

I would recommend to anyone thinking taking up modeling / sculpture to search out a sculptor who is competent and patient as there is a lot to learn.

Terry once said to me "A sculptor can carve stone, marble, and model in clay…you have to learn the trade from top to bottom.  Someone just modeling in clay is not a sculptor"
